I've Got A Feeling

In this sermon from Jonah 3:10–4:4, we look at Jonah’s angry response to God’s mercy toward Nineveh and consider how our feelings, especially anger, can mislead us when they are not submitted to God’s truth. While emotions are part of being made in God’s image, sin can distort them, causing us to question God’s character and define good and evil for ourselves.

Quick Takeaways:

- Our feelings can lie to us, especially when they lead us away from God’s Word and character.

- God’s mercy, patience, justice, and steadfast love must shape our emotions - not the other way around.

Application: We must test our feelings against the truth of God’s Word, trusting that God’s character is good even if our emotions tell us otherwise.
