What Should We Do?

In Jonah 1:7–16, we see that God is always the primary actor, even in life’s storms. Through Jonah’s disobedience and the sailors’ fear, the passage reveals both God’s power and His patience, reminding us that sin has real consequences, but God mercifully calls sinners back to Himself. The challenge for us is to remember to ask what God is doing in our circumstances and how we should respond - ultimately by turning in faith to Jesus, the better Jonah, who bore God’s wrath in our place.
